New Online Ballet Fitness Classes - Ballet Core & Stretch & Flex

We’re so happy that so many people are choosing to join our online classes. Isolation is a weird thing but we can all agree that keeping fit and healthy during this period is super important - For both our physical and mental health.

Online classes are new for us so we love it when you leave feedback - and we’ve been listening! This week we’re launching two new online ballet fitness classes by popular request: Ballet Core and Stretch & Flex.

Ballet Fusion Ballet Core

Introducing our new Core fitness class. Your core is the basis of everything you do. Whether it’s walking down the street, standing and sitting or powering through a 45 min Ballet Fusion class. It’s really important that we strengthen our core as we age to stay strong and prevent injury. Having a strong core will:

  • Improve your posture

  • Help to maintain correct alignment in your back and hips

  • Help to prevent back, hip, knee, shoulder and neck injuries

  • Shape the waist, stomach and back

  • Improve balance

  • Increase your overall strength

  • Improve your ballet fitness technique and form

When we talk about your core, we’re talking about all the muscles which help you stay upright and support your spine and pelvis. Your core includes your back and pelvic floor muscles, as well as obliques and layers of abdominal muscles.

In the Ballet Fusion Ballet Core class we work through a series of exercises designed to target the core in the most effective and beautiful way. Your instructor will give you options to make some of the exercises easier or harder.

Who can do Ballet Core?

Ballet Core is an all levels class. Everyone can benefit from this class :)

When is Ballet Core on?

Every Monday & Wednesday 12pm. 20 minute class.
Ballet Core is a live-stream class so you can join from the comfort of your own home.


Stretch & Flex

Stretch and elongate your muscles to improve your extension and really shape your form with our weekly Stretch & Flex class.

We’re excited to launch this class. Increased flexibility is something so many of our clients want and this class will help you get more limber in the most safe and effective way.

After a short warmup (we can stretch cold muscles - we don’t want to tear anything!), we work through a series of safe and effective flexibility exercises. A combination of low impact barre stretches using a chair our counter-top, floor stretches and resistance stretches.

  • Improve flexibility and range of motion in all areas of the body.

  • Increase leg extension and height

  • Improve turnout and reduce risk of joint injury

  • Improve muscle condition

  • Improve ballet fitness form and technique

  • Improve mobility and muscle coordination

Who can do Stretch & Flex?

Everyone! Whether you have the flexibility of a rugby player or can get your leg behind your head, this class will help you improve, whatever your current level.

When is Stretch & Flex on?

Tuesday 7pm & Sunday 10am. 30 minute class.
