Introducing 20 at 12!

We recently launched our 20 min Ballet Core class and it’s been so popular that we had a brain wave! Let’s create a full series of 20 min classes!

Now you can choose from three 20 min classes which will run from Monday to Thursday at 12pm every day.

20 min Ballet Core, 20 min Ballet Butt and 20 min Ballet Arms.

20 min Ballet Core

Our Core class is now on twice a week - on a Monday and Wednesday at 12pm UK time.

We could all do with improved core strength. No matter how much exercise we do, it’s really important that we continually strengthen our core - these are the muscles which help support our whole body!

Our core class uses ballet-based exercises and repetitions to work the deep core muscles.

We work on shaping and flattening our stomachs by working our rectus abdominis muscles - these are the ones we can see on muscular and toned gym bunnies. Sometimes known at the 6-pack muscles.

We activate our transversus abdominis muscles to ensure spinal support and lower back strength. These exercises also help a lot with our pelvic floor strength and reducing that lower belly pouch.

Our core class also works our internal and external obliques hard - giving us a better waist shape and stronger core support.

As well as improved tone and shape, a stronger core will dramatically improve your posture and alignment. This is especially important if you spend a lot of time sitting at a desk.

20 min Ballet Butt

Butt, booty, derriere, bum, peach. Whatever you call it, give it some extra love with a 20 min class focussed on shaping your behind to perfection.

With barre and floor exercises, you’ll activate the gluteal muscles to really wake your butt up and get it in shape. Lift, squeeze and tone with a varied set of exercises to work and strengthen the deep muscles.

We usually think about our gluteus maximus when we’re working out. The big muscle that we see lift if we squeeze our bum tightly. We work this muscle hard in Ballet Butt class - with the aim to lift and shape.

We don’t forget about the gluteus medius though. Often overlooked, this muscle is actually really important and helps to keep our hips strong and balanced. Something we really need as ballet dancers or fitness fans.

Exercises in this class will also help to improve extension and muscle condition so get booking and give your butt a rest from all that sitting down :)

20 min Ballet Arms

Yes - arms! We love arms in ballet. They express movement and emotion and their fluidity enhances the beauty of the body’s movements.

Whilst ballerinas’ arms always look delicate, they are deceptively strong. Hours of training using non-stop arm movements, holds and repetitions create beautifully toned arms.

In this class we aim to achieve improved tone and strength with exercises based on classical ballet movements. We introduce the option of weights to speed up the toning process but it’s entirely up to you whether you want to use weights or follow the exercises without weights.

If you want to use weights, we suggest light dumbbells, wrist weights or a couple of cans from the kitchen… beans are a popular choice :)

In this class you’ll work the upper arms, shoulders and upper back muscles to mobilise, strengthen and tone. You’ll also become familiar with some of the ballet positions of the arms and we’ll explain everything simply and clearly. This class is super easy to follow and suitable for all levels.
